Meths is a completely denatured alcohol with a variety of uses, including:

• For use in triangia and certain other stoves for cooking/light.
• As a fondue burning fuel.
• As a glass cleaner.
• Thinner for shellac based french polishes.
• Clean up solvent for shellac based blocking primers.
• Evaporating cleaning solvent for sensitive electrical equipment.
• Available in a variety of sizes, larger sizes are hazardous for transport and may not be available in small quantities for Highland/Island postcodes.
